Monday, July 15: HPCS 2019 Welcome Reception - 19:30-21:45

The Grand Hotel Malahide - Dublin

Splendid Venue. Sign up on conference website to get your reception ticket. HPCS Conference Welcome Reception with light hors d’oevres and beverages.

We hope that all HPCS 2019 participants will be at the Reception on Monday evening. Please confirm your participation in the reception on your registration form so that we can reserve a seat for you.

Confirmation and registration is required and due by: July 01, 2019.

Pricing and Transportation: Reception ticket is included with full conference registration (answer “yes” to the registration survey question to reserve your seat). No need for any transportation.

Guided Walking Sightseeing City Tour - followed by dinner time

Enjoy a walking tour of Dublin with one of Pat Liddy's professional guides! On this wonderful tour you will visit many of the highlights of the city, such as Dublin Castle, Temple Bar, the Old Irish Parliament on College Green and much more. Along the way the guide will also show you the sights and sounds of Dublin that are often missed by visitors to the city!

Tuesday, July 16: An Open City Tour - Pat Liddy Walking Tour

18:30-22:30 . Arrive at Hotel around 23:00

Pat Liddy’s Walking Tours of Dublin is the premier walking tour company in Dublin founded in 2004. Participants will be guided through the ancient buildings of the historical center of Dublin, to show them the most famous Dublin locations and to visit many areas that are often missed.

Have you been to Dublin before? Are you looking for something new or different? This private tour covers the most famous places in Dublin and unravel the fascinating stories behind them. The guides reveal places that are too often overlooked by visitors (and the Dubliners!) and provide you with interesting trivia as well as insider information. The private tour can cover a huge variety of topics, such as Literary Dublin, Architectural Walks, the 1916 Rising & Irish Independence and much, much more.

The participants will be picked up from the Grand Hotel by 18:15 by a private coach to meet the guides in the City Centre. The tour is capped at 40 participants. There will be two groups of 20 each. The tour starts at 19:00 on Ship Street near Dublin Castle. The tour will go for about 90 minutes. This will be followed by dinner time in the City Centre until 22:30. Bus pick up back to the Grand Hotel at 22:30. Arriving at the Hotel at 23:00. Coaches provided by: Malahie Coaches

Dinner: The guide will provide information to the participants who wish to stop in the city center for dinner. Dinner is on your own at one of the proposed restaurants. See more details

Pricing and Transportation: US$24 for the guided tour and transportation from and to the Grand Hotel via private coach. Attendees will pay for their own meals at the selected restaurants.
